The principal part and the attribute of the principal part is a pair of philosophical concept and the basic concept of the philosophical epistemology. But they are not unique in philosophy. Because they have natural unification with human, we can and we need to study the attribute of the principal part in any subject and field related to human. Since the 1980s, the study on the principal part and the attribute of the principal part has sprung up. Many scholars have probed into the principal part of the ideological and political education and the attribute of the principal part of the ideological and political education from different angle and the different level, and they have formed rich theory achievement. For example, on the study of the principal part, there are the theory that educator are the principal part, the theory that educatee are the principal part, the theory that educator and educatee are both principal part, the theory that voluntary educator and passive educatee are the principal part, the theory of mutual principal part, the three-principal part theory of individual principal part, colony principal part and national principal part and so on; on the attribute of the principal part, some focus on the attribute of the principal part of educator, some focus on the attribute of the principal part of educatee, some focus on the unification of the attribute of the principal part of educator and the attribute of the principal part of educatee, and some focus on the pattern of the attribute of the principal part of the ideological and political education. These research has held "the principal part is the person", "the attribute of the principal part is the essential attribute of the principal part", which is the basic definition of Marxism epistemology. But they failed to penetrate into the process of the ideological and political education and to dig out what kinds of principal part have existed in the ideological and political education as well as to comprehend the attribute of the principal part of the ideological and political education scientifically.The research on the attribute of the principal part of the ideological and political education must obey the scientific definition of the principal part and the attribute of the principal part according to the Marxism epistemology as well as relate to the practice process of the ideological and political education tightly. The ideological and political education is a kind of social activity that a certain social class or party inflicts on its members some aimed, planned and organized influence by a kind of thought idea, political viewpoint and moral standard to form the thought and political moral character that the class or the party needs. Thus, it is a special education activity that led and organized by the dominant political group. So, the dominant party is rightly the principal part. My paper discusses the principal part of the ideological and political education from three aspects (the principal part of political group, the principal part of educator and the principal part of educatee) and then reveals that the attribute of the principal part of the ideological and political education is the attribute of the principal part of the three principal parts embodied in practice. And it also probes into how the attribute of the principal part of the ideological and political education unites with the ideological and political education in practice to get the efficiency of the ideological and political education by returning the attribute of the principal part into the ideological and political education practice.The first section: This section concerned with the related definition of the attribute of the principal part of ideological and political education and the significance to study it. To begin with the Marxist definition of the principal part and that of the attribute of the principal part, it explores further into the areas of ideological and political education and puts forward scientific definitions to two basic categories: the principal part of ideological and political education and its attribute, which consist the fundamental thesis of this paper. The principal part of ideological and political education refers to people or a unity of people who are practicing consciously and actively during the process of the ideological and political education, including the principal part of the political group, the principal part of the educator and that of the educatee, while the attribute of the principal part refers to the initiatives and creativity reflected in the activities of these people or unity of people, which also include the attribute of the principal part of the political group, that of the principal part of the educator and of the educatee. At the same time, the significance and values of studying the attribute of the principal part of ideological and political education are revealed.The second section: The internal structure of the attribute of the principal part of ideological and political education. Following the pattern of "structure to function", this section analyses the attribute of the principal part of ideological and political education by analyzing its three essential factors: the attribute of the principal part of the political group, that of the principal part of the educator and of the educatee. The different manifestations of these three factors and their different status in the process of ideological and political education in turn contribute to the discussion of the differences among these three factors. On the other hand, the connections among the three factors are revealed by analyzing the contradictions of the political group, the educator and the educatee presented during the process of ideological and political education. This section served as a transitional stage and developed logically from section one to section three by further elaborating the attribute of the principal part of ideological and political education.The third section: The third section analyzes the external appearance and the unification in practice of the attribute of the principal part of the ideological and political education. It sorts out the specific embodiment of the attribute of the principal part of the ideological and political education from the perspective of practice. The attribute of the principal part of political group embodies in the regulating the character of the ideological and political education and confirming the purposes, content, and principals of the ideological and political education. The attribute of the principal part of educator embodies in absorbing the requirements of the ideological and political education actively, understanding the objects of the ideological and political education thoroughly, processing the content of the ideological and political education scientifically, managing the methods of the ideological and political education reasonably. The attribute of the principal part of educatee embodies in understanding the ideological and political education activity positively, absorbing the content of the ideological and political education actively, carrying out the ideological and political education practice and putting up the self-education of the ideological and political education. What's more, it reveals that premise of the unification of the attribute of the principal part of the ideological and political education originates from the consistency of the profit among the principal part of political group, the principal part of educator and the principal part of educatee, the guarantee of the unification originates from respect of the three. This section mainly responds the practice form of the attribute of the principal part of the ideological and political education and how to get unification in practice, thereby, the three principal parts can facilitate one another in their respective activities to improve the efficiency of the ideological and political education. It is the logical end-result of the whole paper.
