On The Interests Of South American Countries In China

Regarding South American countries' interests in China, it's important to distinguish different groups of interests without oversimplifying an analysis as well as to be much more precise than a crude generalization of all South America. Therefore, after finding evidence of political and economic interests, they were qualitatively and quantitatively analyzed, reaching the conclusion that it would be a mistake to generalize the interests of the whole region. For a better understanding of them, it was defined four parameters evaluating different interests in relation to China. All the South American countries were compared according to these parameters, leading to the grouping of five unique groups of countries with similar interests. Finally, some suggestions were made for the application of the group analysis.
