With the rise of china, its national interest has been expanding. Especially in Middle East, it isbecoming more and more prominent because of the interaction of geographical politics in theEuro-Asian continent. The two areas—the Middle Asia and the Middle East—have joined togetherbecoming the core of "Greater Middle East" which plays a strategic role in China's peaceful rise. Forchina, this area is the strategic frontier to cope with the threat of traditional and non-traditionalsecurity. At the same time, for China, it is also the main source of energy and has become a vital areato maintain china's economic security and sustainable development. China's strategic interests in thisarea constitute the important foundation of china's Middle East policy. Meanwhile, it is alsoinfluenced by many factors such as national strength, international institutions, national identity andthe complexity of the Middle East situation, especially the factor of America. On the basis of thesefactors, China's Middle East strategy should be to participate actively and do better. The strategic goalis to shape Middle East into a strategic region for the peaceful rise of China. The strategic ideasinvolves peace, development and cooperation, mutual development and security, civilization harmony,responsible great power and multilateralism and regionalism, etc. The Middle East policy from theview of peaceful rise should rely on the Euro-Asian continent, using regionalism as approach, the SilkRoad as ligament, energy diplomacy as breakthrough, strategically cooperative partnership as pivot,regional cooperation regimes as guarantee and civilization harmony as support. China should raisehighly the banner of peace, cooperation and development and grasp opportunities to participateactively and do better in Middle East for china's peaceful rise.
