Southeast Asian countries are China's near neighbors. They have been communicated on politics, economy and culture to each other since anciently. Since the founding of the People's Republic of China, the relations between China and ASEAN have been going through a difficult period. After the end of the Cold War, with the changing of international affairs, Sino–ASEAN's relationship was ameliorated. After the 1997 financial crisis in Southeast Asia, the power of the ASEAN countries'foreign policy has been adjusted. The twoway relationships between them have undergone massive positive adjustment.This paper quite systematic research China and the ASEAN countries related development since the Asian financial crisis broke out. Purpose of the study is hope for better relationship between China and ASEAN countries to provide some very valuable information and to establish a new partnership to provide a bit of thinking.There are three parts in this thesis. In the first part, the author described the actuality of the development of Sino–ASEAN's relationship, from the field of political, economic and security, etc. the author refer to expound the China-ASEAN relations since financial crisis. The part two is an analysis of the reason of warming of their relations, which includes fruits of communication between the two sides etc. Thirdly, through analyzing the strategic significance of the relations between the two sides, the author further highlights the necessity and importance of contacts between them. Finally, the author analyzed the factors affecting the development of their relationship, and brief predict the prospects of the development of twoway relationship.
