A Discussion On The Motive Force Theory Of Social Development In China At The Present Stage

As an eternal theme of human society, the issue of the motive force of socialdevelopment has been discussing for centuries. Dedicated to discuss the issue as well, thethesis mainly focuses on the motive force of social development in China at the presentstage, on the grounds that it is not only of great theoretical significance but also of greatpractical values to implement the "moderate prosperity" program in all all-round way inChina and to build our country into a harmonious society. All theories should be based onhistoric and current studies, and the study on the motive force of social development is noexception. The thesis, with focus on Marxist theory, firstly conducts a review of everytheory that illustrates the motive force of social development. Then, it points out that thecore leaders of the three-generation of CPC, inheriting Marxist theory on the motive forceof social development, respond to the characteristics and the requirements of their timesand then develop theories of their own consecutively, that is, Mao Zedong's "Theory ofContradiction", Deng Xiaoping's "Theory of Reform" and Jiang Zemin's "Theory ofInnovation" and "Three Representations", all of which deepen and further develop thetheory of motive force of social development. At The Third Plenary Session of the 16thCPC Central Committee, it is proposed that we should stick to the scientific developmentconcept of "people-first" and of overall sustainable development. Adopting a systematicapproach by integrating subject with object and logic with history, the thesis finds out thatthe scientific development concept, which serves as the guiding principles for thedevelopment of society in China at the present stage, is, in actuality, the embodiment ofthe theory of the motive force of social development.The thesis adopts several reaching methods such as the unity of subject and object,logic consistent with history approach, system theory, and so on.
