With the increasing pace of economic globalization, the competition authorities in different countries have more and more interests in cooperation to control the transnational anticompetitive practices. The European Community not only boasts one of the most influential competition rules in the world, but has a wealth of experience in cooperation between competition authorities and in the development and enforcement of internationally applicable competition rules. The first chapter of this thesis is a general introduction of the international cooperation of EC Competition rules. It starts with the necessity and inevitability of strengthening international cooperation in competition policy during the globalization of the economy, and then the fields and modes in the international cooperation of EC Competition rules are further introduced. The second chapter focuses on the bilateral cooperation between EC Competition Law and US Anti-trust Law. It begins with the extraterritorial application, and then agreements between the two sides are analyzed detailedly and related comments are made as well. The third chapter deals with the plurilateral cooperation of The EC Competition Law. Recommendations of EC in the competition negotiations under the aegis of the WTO are highlighted in this chapter. The last chapter is the conclusions drawn from the above analyses. The cooperation modes of the pending Anti-Monopoly Law of the People's Republic of China are discussed in this chapter. It is suggested that China should not only strengthen the bilateral cooperation of competition law with its trade partners, but also participate in the competition negotiations under the aegis of the WTO to make it favorable to the developing countries.
