Peasants' value, their idea of life and education are close to the society they live. We can not ignore the culture of rural area when we study the problem of rural education and peasant's value. The contemporary rural society inherits Chinese traditional culture value, and the core of this culture is pragmatic reason. This thesis tries to make some exploration into peasants' educational value and the facts of rural area. Most of current studies of this educational value focused on its history and at macro-level. The exploration of this issue at micro-level is less seen.Through the study of peasants' pragmatic reason educational value, we made some analysis of its negative and positive influence, and make out some strategies to tackle the negative influence in order to offer some reference for government decision.This thesis is composed of three parts. The first part some research on peasants' pragmatic reason educational value. Though questionnaire to make out this value's performance and characteristic. The second part analyzes the reason of peasants' formation this value from the aspects of China's traditional culture, peasants' physiology, educational traditions and social economic development. The third part comments objectively on the peasants' pragmatic reason educational value and makes some personal reflections on the basis of this study.
