Thinking Of The Peaceful Settlement Of Taiwan Issue In China

Taiwan Issue is an intractable complicated historic problem.The sloganoTwaiwanmust be liberated, has been sounded from 1949 to 1979,nearly 30 years. The policy of"peaceful reunion" has been created for 21 years since 1979,but the problem has notbeen settled down. The leadership of the second generation led by Deng Xiaopingcreated the policy of "one country with two systems", which put it into being to returnHong Kong and Macao to the main land. Li Deng Hui departed from "one China"principle while Chen Shuibian adopted "Reviving Indepedence of Taiwan", meanwhileUS government proposed to pay an official visit to Taiwan, and all these made it as awish for Chinese people to solve the issue. With the development of the politicalreform and diplomatism, and the growth of economy, the right time has come for thenew leadership of China to settle down the issue by creative ways.For years Chinese leaders stressed that the Taiwan Issue should be solved as soonas it could be.
