The one million migrants of Three Gorges Project is so called the most difficult problem of the whole world. The success or failure of Three Gorges Project depends on its migration, and meanwhile the success or failure of migration depends on its acclimatization. The social amalgamation of migrants is a long process which usually has three steps: move and rehabilitation, acclimatization and assimilation. The smooth social merging of this migrants has huge relationship with the society's stableness and has great importance to the establishing of a harmonious society. Because of huge exchange in the system of production and living and their own limitation of personal ability, the migrants will have to face many difficulties in merging into the local system of production and living when moving from familiar surroundings to a strange place. Their most difficult problems are as follows: the problem of changing social roles, the problem of developing economy and the problem of different culture. Then, how can they merge smoothly? By investigating and studying the migrants'actual merging situation and reading related academic research achievements both domestic and abroad, the author believes that if the Three Gorges Migrants want to merge smoothly into the local communities, they should firstly change their social roles, secondly develop economy mostly, thirdly rebuild their culture life system, lastly and most importantly improve their personal ability.In relation to the establishing of a harmonious society, the article use basic principles of Karl Max to analysis the problems arised in the process of Three Gorges Migrants'merging and try to find out its solutions. The purpose is to help the migrants merge smoothly and give some experience to other water conservancy project's migration.
