Studies On Constructing Of The Healthy Civil Society In China

Civil Society is a continuously developing historic concept that has rich connotations and meanings, its origin can be traced back to ancient Greek city-state's political life. Although it originated in the West, but with the advance of reform and opening up in China, the adjustment of the relationship between state and society, and social autonomy expanding, civil society is rapidly rising in contemporary China. That we use this concept to consider contemporary community of China is legitimate. Moreover, because there has not been a genuine civil society in the history of China, and the relationship between state and society and the tradition of history of China are enormous difference from the Western, we must pay attention to the history and reality of China, and make it proper selection and transformation when we use the concept. Through the application of this concept to the analysis and study on contemporary China in this discourse, we can conclude that it has already come to the rise of civil society. This is an indisputable fact. So, we must face up to this reality and is based on it if we want to build a harmonious society. And by sorting out the relationship between harmonious society and civil society, I think that there is a lot of fit between healthy civil society and harmonious society in pursuit of value and the state of society, and the healthy civil society should become the starting point of building a harmonious society. However, due to historical and present various reasons, There are many constraints in concept and action continuously affecting the healthy development of civil society. These make contemporary community of China very imperfect,and not effectively meet the needs of the building of the harmonious society. It has the urgent need to strive to make improvements and build a healthy civil society, and lay a solid social foundation for successful implementation of the strategy of harmonious society.
