The Problems Of Civil Society Under The Perspective Of Harmonious Society

Civil society is an intermediate stage between the political state and individuals, and thesignificance of its construction lies in the completion of a solid social governance structure toform the multi-side governance, which provides an effective theoretical reference for the statein transition to ease the social conflicts or even resolve them in a rational way. This articleaims to sort the causes of the civil society’s emergence and mechanisms of the civil societyfrom the epistemology angle, and it makes comprehensive analysis on the basic relationshipand boundary between the civil society and the political state based on theoretical researchfrom some Western academics. From the viewpoint of Karl Mark, the development of civilsociety is the material communicational relation among different individuals and the field ofsocietal life caused by the relation above in market economical society. The public demandsrelying on this have something of the social self-government to a certain degree. There aresome structural system changes from the centralized control to the society by state to theseparation between them since China’s reform in1978, emerging with the market-orientedoperation mechanism and relatively independent diversified social system. The social roles,driven by economic development, gradually show their superiorities: coordination of socialrelations, guideline of social behaviors, solution to the social problems, resolutions of socialconflicts, promotion of social justice, responses to the social risks, maintenances of socialstability and so on. The discussion and research on civil society, and comprehension of itsinherent regularity, provide the theoretical basis for China’s socialist modernization,construction of China’s civil society, promotion of social governance, construction ofharmonious society and even the realization of the Chinese dream. During the research on thestrengths and weaknesses of civil society, we should pay more attention to the problems aboutothers’ alienation made by civil society and its alienation made by the others. Meanwhile, weshould deeply investigate the problem about the role the civil society played in the socialgovernance during the construction of Chinese characteristics harmonious society. At present, confronted with social transition in China, it is imperative to coordinate and balance therelationship among the state, society and individuals in a concrete and effective way to keepthe stability and harmony in the modernization construction. Research on civil society formsthe multiple mechanisms of governance with the advocacy of social management, provides atheoretical guidance to conduct the effective promotion of socialist modernization andprogress of the harmonious society, and gives a birth of a new idea, a new concept, and a newmethod to the fairness and justice of the state and ruling the state by law.
