A Discourse Upon The Countermeasures Of The Inequality Among Mankind

In his A discourse Upon the Origin and the Foundation of the Inequality among mankind, J. J. Rousseau indicated that human became more and more unequal with the emergence of private ownership and development of civilization. The question of equality had never obtained a satisfactory answer. Recently with the rising of political philosophy, equality became the theme of modern political philosophy. Rawls, Nozick and Dworkin produced independently three equal paradigms as democratic equality, equality of opportunity and equality of resources, but criticisms were poured on such representative theories. Based on these criticisms, the writer found these equality theories unsatisfactory still.Equality is entity of absoluteness and relativity. The method which Rawls used to deduce the justice principles in A Theory of Justice was that, by the hypnosis of original position and the veil of ignorance, the contractors had no choices but to select the difference principle according to the maximin rule under the situations of original position. This method changed the deduction of the justice principles into reasonable selection. It's called corporate games with limited information in game theory. Based on these foundations, the writer deduce equality principle with the method of corporate games with unlimited information which is different from Rawls', and by analyzing of history from cybernetics, the writer found the universality of the mechanism of equality. It exists during the macro and micro courses of history and becomes the control parameter of historical development. Such history gradually changed into an equality-dominant civilization. Unfortunately, the west civilization was short of such conditions of game which led the west civilization became liberty-dominant civilization where liberty was the control parameter. The two civilizations had conflicted, and had different natures and characteristics. Their future trends differ greatly. The worse of environment and the crisis of ecology are the inevitable results of the liberty-dominant civilization. The reason is that the control mode of positive feedback of such civilization leads more and more inequality in its society. So, the countermeasures of human's inequality are to pursue equality among inequality.
