On Karl Marx's Thoughts Of Justice And Their Contemporary Value

The social justice problem, which emerged in the process of contemporary social economic development, has become an increasingly important topic and it is also an important research subject in the fields of ethics, philosophy, politics, and economics and so on. However, different thinkers hold different views on what justice is. In the history of Western thoughts, numerous thinkers, from the ancient Greek Socrates to the modern Rawls, put forward various kinds of views on justice, but they held no common view. Therefore, this paper tries to study Karl Marx's historical materialistic justice thoughts.We hold that Marx, beginning from certain social production mode, built up his own communism justice ideal by criticizing the justice thoughts of capitalist class and capitalism system. In this process, Marx revealed that the essence of the justice thought was the reflection of the realistic interest relation. Therefore, in the class society, the justice thought is based on the class. Meanwhile, Marx held that the core value of equality and freedom in justice thought was based on the historical materialism and he pointed out the realistic way to realize freedom and equality. Marx criticized and negated the distribution way of capitalism and set forth socialist distribution justice theory. Compared to the traditional Western justice notion, Marx's justice notion had its unique characteristics, such as viewing justice thought from the angle of historical materialism. What's more, Marx revealed the core position of economic justice from certain production way.With the development of the socialist market economy of our country, the social justice problem increasingly attracts people's attention. Marx's justice thoughts show their methodology guiding function and ethical value nowadays, such as its methodology of historical materialism, the ethical value for people's interests, etc. This paper puts forward some methods or specific measures, by analyzing the contemporary notable social justice problems, for example, to put the reasonable adjustment of realistic interests distribution structure as the main task., to pay more attention to the weak group and to keep people's interests and to protect the social member's rights of equality and freedom, etc. The historical materialist justice thought in the historical materialism horizon develops continuously, so we should push social justice forward continuously with the development of the society.
