A Research On The Formation Of Team Cohesion In Military Units

The manoeuvring, controlling and exerting functions of mental factors have always being widely recognized by armies of different countries. On the premise of same material factors, the troops with stronger cohesion fight more bravely, can exert their material factors better and hence to inform powerful battle effectiveness. Therefore, the armies of many countries and areas deem the formation of cohesion as one of the vital subject of the construction of themselves. Today, when we are constructing the socialism, the cohesion research of our army has gradually been taken into consideration. The team cohesion of armies can improve the responsible beheavors of armymen, enhance the coherence of their values, and increase their sense of safety and self-confidence, so the team cohesion shall be one of the important dimensions of the army construction. But in today's society, with the diversification and excessiveness of our economy, the thoughts of people increasingly become diversified. Though the military units of our country are always managed by the close style, the officers and soliders are hard to avoid the impact of the tide of market economy and hence to have some infavorable factors influencing the cohesion. By researches and analyses, the author found that the values of today's armymen turn to be diversified, the idea of collectivity fades away, and the relations between soliders turn to be complex. In the new historical period, to the army construction, both the outside environment and the inside environment have changed greatly. In the aspect of outside environment, with the gradually deepening of our country's reform and opening-up, the socialistic market economy develops rapidly, the open extend increases continuously, the components, organizing forms, employment methods and distribution modes of social economy become diversified, and all kinds of thoughts and cultures impact the people one after another. This new social envorinment, while bringing vitalities to the army construction, brings more phenomena influence and erodes the thoughts of officers and soldiers; in the aspect of inside environment, the components of officers and soliders turn to be diversified, and the basic management has met with some problems, all of these problems have weakened the cohesion of the army. With consideration of these factors, the author brought force some suggestions on enhancing the cohesion of the army: in the aspect of the self-construction of the army, we should shape the army culture, improve the armyman's quality, and reasonably deal with the requirements of armymen; form the management of the army, we should broaden the channel of democracy, strengthen the cultivation of grass-root cadres, and establish the correct soldier-care view. It is the author's hope that the research of this thesis will provide some useful references for the army construction of our country.
