After 1978,Chinese social class structure has a great change and form a new class structure which including ten social classes.Social stratification has positive and negative effects to the political stability. At one hand, Social stratification improves the social structure and laid the social basis for political stability. It made the social structure more rational, most of people can flow to the upper social position and improve their social position, this alleviated the social intension, the multiplication of class benefits reduced social shake, and reduced the risk of large—scale social conflicts, impelled the political system development. Essentially, Social stratification has positive influences to political stability.However, Social stratification also has negative influences to political stability of china. The power—market mix social stratification mechanism is not fair. The original Social stratification mechanism be continued, social disparity is expanding. The stratification of fundamental social class weakened the support foundation to political system. Social closure result in social structure tension and will initiated the social conflict. Political participation inflation has created huge pressure to political stability.To keep political stability in the process of Social stratification, first of all, we should establish a market primarily mechanism of stratification, and transformation the function of power, to guarantee the social stratification mechanism is fair. Adjust social class structure to form a modern and reasonable social structure. Political system should positively make adjustment to adapt to the change of social structure. It should expanded political participation to gain the support of new classes, and enhance regulative ability to adjust Social stratification. At last, we should reform political stability patterns to adapt to the changes of Social structure.
