It has been for more than ten years since the traditional socialist political system is transformed into westward multi-party parliamentary democracy system in Hungary in 1989. The multi-party parliamentary democracy system has gradually established in Hungary. All parties tried their best to fit survival. After the initial chaos the participants in the parliamentary elections only have a dozen parties, only 5-6 or fewer parties accessing into the Congress, the Hungarian political parties is growing "left" and "right" binary pattern. Hungarian left parties' status in Hungary has increasingly become prominent. After the bitter failure in the first parliamentary election, headed by the Hungarian Socialist Party the Hungarian left parties conscientiously summed up experiences and lessons and actively improved their images. Their strength has being steadily expanded, matching with the right-wing parties, power rotating, even in the 2006 parliamentary election the Hungarian Socialist Party won power again, which made the left parties plays a more and more important role in Hungary. Take on the previous Hungarian elections as studying the entry points, this paper will in-depth investigate the development process, discusses their the status, role, constraints, lessons learned and forecasts their trend of Hungarian left party. The article is divided into five parts. The first chapter is foundation of the full text. After discussing the definition of the left, it reviews the history of Hungarian left parties and explains their basic structure since 1989. It is noted that the Hungarian left parties since 1989 are all parties in addition to the anti-communism and anti-socialism right-wing 'democrats', which includes both the Communist Party and Social Democratic Party who clearly adhere to the socialism and communism, Left Unions who do not consider socialism as the goal but take an opposition to right-wing government, Farmers' Party who takes part in the left coalition and Green Alliance who believe the ecologyism since 1989.Chapter II takes Hungarian previous Parliamentary elections as a basic clue. It systematically alienates the basic track of the evolution of left parties and analyses their successes and failures on the previous parliamentary elections. The third chapter analyses position and role of the Hungarian left parties. It is noted that the left parties play an irreplaceable role in the political, economic and social development of Hungary. Chapter IV analyses with macro various restraining factors and summarizes experiences and lessons on the evolution of the left parties.Chapter V initially predicts the future of the Hungarian left parties. It deems that after a dozen years, in Left camp of Hungary, the influential parties are the Hungarian Socialist Party, the Hungarian Workers' Party and the Hungarian Social Democratic Party. Meanwhile, it is noted that the Hungarian Socialist Party is one of the leading forces, and the other left wing parties are still in weak condition in Hungary: The Hungarian Workers' Party still persists its believes and engages its exploration, which will be like a phoenix nirvana process; the Hungarian Social Democratic Party will end conflicts to ultimate reunification, but its potential is feeble because of acting independently for 10 years and not forming a coalition with the Hungarian Socialist Party. From a long way, the left parties will eventually embark on the path of joint.
