ItËŠs the general, basic guiding principle, the base of the interaction of the whole party and people on minds, politics ,and arts. ItËŠs also the base of the party to make all aspects of concrete routes, principles and strategies. As for the CPC, whether the basic line is proper or not, has a direct influence on if the party could lead Chinese revolution and construction to achieve success constantly.The CPC set up in 1921, during these historical 80 years, our party has established different basic lines and general lines according to the different historical stages of Chinese revolution and construction: the new democratic revolution general line of the New Democratic Revolution period; the socialist transformation line of the transitional period; the socialist construction general line of the socialist exploratory period; the basic line of the"Cultural Revolution"period and the general line of the socialist primary stage after the opening policy. These basic lines of different periods have distinct historical characteristics in some aspects, such as background, content and function.
