The basic line of the Party was also addressed the general line, general policy or general mission of the Party. In reality it was also the political course of the Party. It was the guiding ideology and struggling target of the whole history work that the Party decided in the specified history period or history phase, and the guiding principle and general policy that the Party decided in order to achieve this struggling target. It was the foundation that the whole Party drew up various concrete policies and guiding principles and united the base of the idea and operation.The history experience of the Chinese Communist Party with more than 80 years demonstrated: the basic line of the Party, correctly whether or not, resolved the rise or decline, success or failure of the Party's undertaking. Reviewing the history that the basic line of the Party was proposed and took shape, it is not difficult for us to find that the Chinese people underwent many difficulties and setbacks in the interest of finding a right basic line and also expended the extremely critical cost. As far as we watched in the total , from transitional period to the eve of the reform and opening , our Party has drawn up three basic lines in all , namely the general line of the transitional period in 1952, the building socialism general line that the Party in 1958 proposed "we goes all out , and strives for the first place , how fast well savingly we construct the socialism " , the basic line that in 1969 finally took shape and upheld that" takes the class struggle " as the program in the entire socialism history phase.As far as the theme (the socialism building general line) that the dissertation involves, as for the upper-and-lower time limit, the upper time limit started in 1958 naturally, although educational circles does not possess the clear-cut limit on the concrete ending time. Yet approximately stably in 1962, the reason was that that year the Party initially started to propose the basic line of the entire socialism history phase.The problems that the basic line would reply to chiefly were: What phase was the socialism of China in? What was the main contradiction in this phase? How was the ownership composition? How to analyze and to deal with the class struggle in the phase? And the socialism building ought to be in progress according to what means, method and velocity and pattern? And so on. As far as the condition from the answering problems, the socialism building general line completely violated economic regular pattern, even to the extent the entire community developing regular pattern, completely error.Although from the time that the basic line was drawn up till today, almost half century passed, nowadays we have been persevering the basic line of the Party in the primary stage and continuously carrying forward the Chinese distinguishing feature socialism modernization building and constructing the harmonious community of the socialism. But looking back on the history, detailedly and objectively to analyze this basic line, we are still able to obtain much lesson and experience.
