The Personality Structure Of Charismatic Leadership In Military

The selection of basic-level officer is a fundamental problem of the construction of the armed forces, especially in critical and military reformation time. Both fighting capacity of the army and stabilization of the basic level have close relationship with the basic-level officer. The charisma of basic-level officer will give him incomparable advantage in enhancing cohesion, leading his subordinates to complete the task, as well as in building closer internal relationships.Adapting to the need of the construction and development of the armed forces, and focusing on this specific professional community of basic level officer, this research explored models of army basic level charismatic leadership, taking this specific situation as its basis. With the analysis of the results of charismatic leadership research, both at home and abroad, this research firstly used free description interview to collect different manifesting aspects of the basic level officers'charisma from several angles, and carried out the preliminary classification. Then the conclusion was analyzed and proved by questionnaire survey procedure, and the basic content of the personal trait model was discussed on various dimensions simultaneously. Through statistical methods such as project analysis, the article determined the basic structure and main dimensions of the army charismatic leadership model. And through statistically testing methods, like validity analysis and confirmation factor analysis and so on, the article also justified the result of the research, determined the model's basic dimensions and the contents of these dimensions, and finally constructed the charismatic leadership model. The main conclusions our research arrived at are:The charismatic leadership model of the army has four dimensions, that is, sociality, infectiousness, tenacity, and initiation. And the examination on the influence of population statistics variables on each of the charismatic leadership model's dimension indicated that the influence is not remarkable.
