The Sino-Japanese relations are important part in international relations, and are the keystone in China's foreign affairs. Much attention and general concern about them are aroused by the people and governments of the two countries.The tense face-off of the two major blocs which lasted for nearly half a century was over in 1990s. Then, the Sino-Japanese relations have turned form the amicable honeymoon for main current to the tortuous and undulatory development stage step by step. After the Cold War, Japan was the first country to break the west sanction to China, and restore the relations with Chinese roundly. In 1990's middle later, however, the development of two countries relations presented the tendence to assuagement again. After entering 21 centuries, during the ex-premier Junichiro Koizumi was in power, the bottom dropped out of the relations since they have been establishing. The interruption of China-Japan heads visits each other amounts to long of 5 years, misunderstanding and contradiction between China-Japan nations are deepened by unceasingly, history cognition problem, the question of Taiwan, maritime rights and interest's dispute etc. These factors restrict the development of Sino-Japanese relations and tending them towards complicated, the relations appeared go backwards all round. Newly-appointed Japan premier Abe Jin San had known the important strategy significance about Sino-Japanese relations in October, 2006, had been in progress after holding a post the first foreign affairs visits was "row of attending Chinese damaged ice"; Also Chinese government responded actively, in April, 2007, Premier Wen Jia Bao went to Japan to carry out a visit. The both countries government reaches consensus on building "common strategy benefit-based mutual benefit relation", for Sino-Japanese relations future development has made direction clearly.There are four parts of this thesis. Part I has summarized the evolution of international situation, analyzed the new characteristic that Asian-Pacific region international relation display after cold war; Part II discusses the development of Sino-Japanese relations of different stage after cold war about two aspects of the politics and economy, and analyzes the reason; Part III mainly analyses three big focal point problems that restrict the development of Sino-Japanese relations; Part IV offer some Countermeasures and suggestions on promoting the further development of Sino-Japanese relations.
