Analysis On The Folk Diplomatic Factors On Sino-Japanese Relations After The World War Ⅱ

Folk diplomacy has a variety of forms and fruitful contents, and takes importantand distinct roles in strengthening people's exchange among the countries andpromoting international relations. Especially with the gradual enforcement ofglobalization and the function of "citizen society", the importance of folk diplomacywill become more prominent and attracts the world' attention.Folk diplomacy holds very important status in the diplomatic strategy, and in the1950s, Premier Zhou ever said, China diplomacy is the union of the official, semiofficial and the folk. The function of folk diplomacy has been proved more than oncein the diplomatic practice.In the development's course of China-Japan relations after World Warâ…¡, folkdiplomacy has played the indelible role. Under the guidelines of "the folks advances,and promote the official through it", those twenty years friendly contact of China andJapan promoted bilateral relations to be normal and so it ended the long-time hostilecondition and established normal foreign relations and meanwhile the folk diplomacyobtained more development, instead of its attenuation and kept advancing China'diplomacy. During those times, the Chinese and Japanese official diplomacy and thefolk diplomacy supplemented each other and promoted mutually, and there was goodsituation in the Sino-Japan relations of "the interaction of the official and the folk andcommon development".Since the 1990s, both countries have frequent differences and the frictions in thedomain of Security, the historic problem and territory problem. Both sides' relationsunderwent the unconstrained fluctuation and entered the period of "the friction andthe conflict". Although China and Japan folk diplomacy kept the trend ofdevelopment, it faced serious problems. The affection of people between China andJapan continues to worsen and the people hold the hostile attitude to each other. Bothcountries relations falls into the deadlock.Facing the deadlock, how to strengthen people's understandings and meltdiscrepancy and promote bilateral relations will become the central task of Sino-Japanfolk diplomacy. In the last part, this thesis analyzes the obstacle factors of Sino-Japanfolk diplomacy and offers some corresponding measures to strengthen economic,cultural, media and youth's exchanges, and both sides will erase their discrepancy,enlarge common consensus, and promote understandings and gradually improvebilateral relations, under the premise of "learn from history, face future".
