On Cultivation Of New-Styled Peasants In China

The Fifth Plenum sets it a major historic task to build a new socialist countryside in China's modernization process, according to the development of production, affluent and rural civilization, village clean environment and democratic management. Farmers are the main body in the building of new rural countryside, who play an irreplaceable role. In order to build a new countryside, we must cultivate new farmers. The tasks cannot be fulfilled unless millions of high-quality new farmers are brought up, tremendous rural labor resources are changed into labor capital advantage, and continual source of strength are formed.Peasants, the protagonists of new socialist countryside construction, cannot yet meet the need of the overall quality in the new rural development. Cultivating a new type of rural peasants is the primary issue. It is an effective way to improve training mechanism, actively cultivate rural leaders, pay attention to improving the overall quality of the new farmers. Based on the analysis of the current conditions of the peasants' qualities and the importance of cultivation, the current paper puts forward strategy of cultivation.
