A Research Of The Development Of Charity In The Harmonious Society

In the recent years, the charity receives more and more attention from the society and government departments, as the important component of a country's social development and the social security system. The article introduces the development of the charity in China, beginning with the conception of the charity, which points out the notable achievements in the development of the charity in the recent years, and show clearly the outstanding problems in its development. It analyses the circumstances which the charity must face to, especially the requests in the building process of socialism harmonious society, and indicates that it is the golden period of the charity's development present, must accelerate its development, and develop it actively. After compares with the development of abroad charity and draws abroad advanced experiences, the article submits five suggestions to accelerating charity's development in our country, including accelerates shift of the government functions, perfects charitable legal institutions system, strengthens entire charitable consciousness of society, reinforces charitable organizations' self-building, and reinforces the theory studying.
