The Amending Of Countervailing Laws In U.S. And Strategies Of The Law In China

With the developing of world economy, subsidies and countervailing measures are always very important in the global trade system. Along with avalanche of trade friction cases, the USA is also trying its best to find out some possible measures to apply its countervailing law to China after Canada initiated countervailing investigation to China in 2004. It makes more and more austere of Chinese countervailing position that America lodged a complaint to Chinese subsidy in 2007. Because America is the most country in the world that exercises countervailing measures, and it is the main trading partner of China, this paper starts from American modification of countervailing law, and then analyses particularly its influence on itself and our country. This paper consists of four parts: the first part introduces basic theory of subsidy and countervailing; the second part analyses American countervailing law completely; the third part analyses the reason and influence of modification of American countervailing law, at last the author points out our country's subsidy situation and advises to our subsidy system.
