The minor is the future constructors of our country, and the successor of socialism with Chinese characteristics. Their ideological and moral standards directly relate to the whole character of the Chinese nation, and to the prospect and destiny of the nation. Since the symposium on ideological and moral education for the minor by the Central Committee of CPC in 2004, the specialists throughout China had been carrying on this problem and gained rich relative achievements. However, it is still lack of enough attention on ideological and moral development for the minors in less-developed rural areas. And it is particularly seldom that systematically analyzing and studying the ideological and moral state of the minors in less-developed rural areas by way of ideological and moral education environment. At present, the rural minors who are under the age of 18, account for over two third of those in our country, and especially in those less-developed rural areas, their living conditions and development environment are still on a lower level. Therefore, it is a pending and profound subject to strengthen ideological and moral development for the minors in less-developed rural areas. It must be beneficial to the development of ideological and moral for the minors in less-developed rural areas to systematically analyze and study the problems on ideological and moral of the minors in less-developed rural areas by way of ideological and moral education environment, and also to propose correspondent resolutions.This paper mainly consists of three parts: The first part is on the necessity and the significance of strengthening ideological and moral development for the minors in less-developed rural areas. The second part is the analyses on the ideological and moral state of the minors in less-developed rural areas and the main problems of its current development with the substantial investigations. In the last part, it studies and proposes a series of correspondent solutions basing on the current problems in the environment of ideological and moral education for the minors in less-developed rural areas in our country.This paper takes Marxist methodology as its instruction and combines theories of ideological and moral education subject, mainly based on the methods of questionnaires, observation, interviews and documentation.
