A Study On Relations Between G8 Nation Group And China

Group 8 is one of important internationa l regimes in the world. Since it has beenestablished over 30 years, it lies behind ma ny specific internationa lregimes.Experiencing the development of performing reform and opening-up policyabout 30 years, China has acquired effective status in the world stage,and it has closerelation with G8 members.In recent years, some countries appeal that China shouldbecome a member of G8, but there still exists courtview.How to deal with the relationwith G8 properly is a necessary thing what we should do now.This paper aims toanalyse advantages and disad vantages of mea ures which China applied to cope withG8 by summrizing the research achievements of G8 and using historica l and realistic,macroscopic and micropic methond . All of these target at helping China to choose anapproprite policy, as to form a new way to deal with the relation between China andG8.The paper can be divided into three parts.The first part performs historica l angleto summrize the relation between China and G8, and reviews the development processof the two parties. The second part is to analyse three vital focuses, they are howChina regards the fuction of G8, what the attitudes which G8 members hold to letChina become a member of them and the G8 and what kind of strategy China willchoose, especia lly emphasize the second one.The third part bases upon the historica land realistic analysis and discusses that how China copes with the relations betweenChina and G8 in the angle of policy and strategy. According to these analysis, Chinashould take part in some specific activities of G8 and strengthen the cooperation insome fields.In conclusion, I pointed out that how to deal with the relations between Chinaand G8 shoud be a necessary task for our country. China should pay more attention tothe cooperation with G8. But we should consider the way which cooperate with G8deeply. Joining in G8 is not the only choice for China.
