After the cold war, the integration of the European gets new chances for its further development. Ten years later, the EU has made great success. It has finished the stratosphere of the Economic and Monetary union of the EU, adopting a common currency, the euro. It also has constituted and enforced Common Foreign and Security Policy and found United Nations. Furthermore, the countries that join in the EU has increased. It has become a unity that has 27 countries. The EU has become a powerful unity that has great economic strength and political influence. The rise of the EU has made challenges to the relations between the EU and the America. The purpose of this paper is to illustrate what has happened to the relations between the EU and the America, and how these changes will effect the development of the European.
