The Construction Of Harmonious Society And The Development And Utilization Of Filial Piety Culture

Filial piety is the traditional virtue of china. It has a long history of several thousand years. Filial piety is the core of Chinese traditional culture. Chinese filial piety has experienced a long course of generating and developing and reaching it's peak and declining. Traditional filial piety played an active role in the history. It did good to the stability of the government and society, the harmony relations among people, the friendship relation between people and the nature. Of course, the traditional filial piety has it's unfavorable aspects . Filial piety is reasonable and suitable for the regulation of family and moral education. It's positive function on moral education and interpersonal relationship is still favorable in modern society .At present, there are many problems in our society, such as the declining of morality, the crisis of credit , the instability of family , the disharmony of relations between generations , the conflicts between people and the nature , the issue of family support , the rottenness of juvenile morality .These issues appear partly because of the recession of filial piety. The construction of Social Harmonious society needs the carrying forward of filial piety. There are close relations between the characteristics of Social Harmonious society and some active ideas of filial piety. Filial piety is one of the origins of the harmonious theory .This paper try to find the inherent relations between some ideas in filial piety and the harmonious theory, such as the ideas about democracy , the harmonious interpersonal relationship, the friendship between people and the nature , the close family relationship, etc. The conclusion is filial piety is essential and beneficial for the construction of harmonious society and we should develop and utilize filial piety to serve the construction of harmonious society.
