The Research On Subjective Well-Being Of The Young White-Collars In IT Industry

At present, the happiness index has become the measure on social progress and deve lopment,so government and the media are attaching great importance to it.At the same time,more anda more people are paying attention to the state of overworking and the matter of death from overworking in white-collars,especialls in IT industry.And paradox of happiness spreads to the public.Therefore,the research on subjective well-being from young white-collars in IT industry have great practical significance and time value. This paper plans to show the living congdition and research on their subjective well-being by qualitative research methods.The foreword simply introduces the social background and the source of the research.Recently my awareness of the problem has been stimulated by great attention on subjective well-being and the phenomenon of Paradox of happiness on white-collars,especialls in IT industry.Charpterâ… describles the developmental process of study subjective well-being and discusses about theoretical and practical significance.Charpterâ…¡summarizes the achievements on subjective well-being and the white-collar from domestic and foreign scholars.Charpterâ…¢brings up the general idea of subjective well-being,IT industry and the young white-collar.It also explains the plan of this research.Charpterâ…£make use of the generic and comparative analysis to research on subjective well-being from young white-collars in IT industry through working,human relationship and living fields.Chapterâ…¤makes a number of explorating conclusions.First of all,Work is the axis of the life, but is not a happy thing.In working field, working pressure has two ways to influence subjective well-being,which are bussiness pressure and piritual pressure. Young white-collars in IT industry forecast their developing prospects through an internal path and an external path.The act of forecasting the prospect works upon their subjective well-being.Second, the human relationship has important implications for their subjective well-being.Emotional relationship putting up emotional and experimental surpport gives have an good impact on their subjective well-being.Utilitarian relationship leading to bad feelings and experience has a negative part on their subjective well-being. Third, to a certain extent, the work has the indirect influence on personal subjective well-being. Fourth, subjective well-being is affected not only by the horizontal comparison but also by the impact of vertical comparison.Fifth, from the perspective of values, the view of happiness partly reflets personal subjective well-being in the present state.At the end of this charpter,the author note the limitations of the study.
