The Transformation Of Modern European Nationalism And The Rise Of "Stress Nationalism" In Asia Africa And Latin America

Nationalism is both a historical and modern issue. From the entire modern world history, nationalism nurtured in the late Middle Ages in Western Europe countries. In the process of anti-feudal and building nation-states,nationalism,as well as true nation-states formulated in Europe officially. After the establishment of nation-states, nationalism transformed to an aggressive and colonial theory.The western aggressive nationalism stimulate the rise of stress nationalism in Asia, Africa and Latin America. However, the stress nationalism in Asia, Africa and Latin America is different from western nationalism in origin,meaning and form.In this paper,we use the national theory of Marxism and Leninism to analysis the transformation of western nationalism and the rise of nationalism in Asia, Africa and Latin America.At last, we compared these two kinds of nationalism above. In fact, in the vast areas of Asia, Africa and Latin America, nationalism has a very rich form of expression, this article focuses on the general characteristics of nationalism,stress nationalism.Other forms of nationalism in Asia, Africa and Latin America will be studied in future.
