| In recent years, with the further advancement of Reform and Opening up, a large amount of rural labor force moves to cities, resulting in a large number of "hollow rooms" (uninhabited houses in rural areas) and lots of abandoned arable land in rural areas. The rural land resources have been wasted seriously. Even in some areas, housing conditions of farmers are quite bad and the lack of appropriate housing security system is common. In the new rural construction policy context, people are paying more and more attention on how to improve our current housing system in rural areas reasonably in order to enhance the utilization efficiency of agricultural land and to increase the income of farmers. At the same time, many selected units, including Ningbo in Zhejiang province and Xuancheng in Anhui province, have begun to try actively to reform the housing system. What measures have been taken and what results have been gained, have drawn many people's attention. Therefore, it is necessary for us to carry out and strengthen the research on the implementation and improvement of housing system reform in rural areas of China.This article includes introduction, main text and conclusion. The introduction first introduces why the topic is selected and the present relative research home and abroad. Then it gives the research method, the main content and what is innovative in this paper. Finally, the importance of the present paper is elaborated.The main text has four parts. Part One describes and analyses the current housing situation in the rural areas of China with a comprehensive and objective view, and then gives both the great success and the existing problems in rural housing system since the Reform and Opening up. Part Two demonstrates the necessity and significance of carrying out reform in the rural housing system. Part Three compares the present reform patterns of rural housing system, choosing those selected units in Anhui, Zhejiang and Guangdong provinces which have carried out the reform in rural housing system as objects of study. A series of indicators, which could reflect the reform results, such as per capita gross domestic product, regional arable land, per capita housing area, the area of rural infrastructure, are analyzed by comparing their difference before and after the rural housing system reform in order to appraise the reform patterns and point out the emerging problems during the reform. Part Four makes some suggestions on the rural housing system reform and provides theoretical evidences for the further reform in rural housing system.The conclusion gives the main ideas and focus of this paper. Also it pointed out the necessary improvement and further research in the future. |
