Recent years have seen a large development in Internet, e-commerce, a kind of totally new commercial mechanism in the context of global economic integration, emerged and made great progress. At the same time, the rapid developments of Business to Customer (B2C) e-commerce have shown a trend to flourish. However, e-commerce is still in the early stages of developments in our country, B2C model is not a sound trading environment. Although e-commerce transactions of this new model bring tremendous economic benefits to the society, many phenomena against the interests of consumers also arose, which posed a serious challenge for consumer protection. In order to solve these problems in time to ensure the smooth development of B2C, the establishment of an effective system of consumer protection should be of top priority. Only by enclosing some new forms of legal relationship in B2C environment in time into the system of consumer protection laws, the legitimate rights of the consumers can be effectively protected and the long-time development of e-commerce can also be granted.The various cases of damages to the interests of consumers in the development of e-commerce not only posed a serious challenge in protecting the rights of the consumers, but also hindered the development of e-commerce. Therefore, this article focuses on the protection of the consumer interests in the context of the B2C e-commerce. It discusses how to recognize and protect the basic rights of consumers. It also prescribes the present situation and existing problems in the field by analyzing some cases. By analyzing and referring to some more mature laws and practices, it points out some concrete measures to protect the consumer rights. Then it provides some views concerning building a safe and healthy environment for e-commerce. Moreover, it also tries to explore some useful measures to improve the protection system of the consumer rights in the model China's B2C e-commerce.This article has four parts.Firstly, it introduces some typical cases and describes the problems existing in the present case of electronic transactions. Secondly, it presents the problems in detail, arising from fraud and false advertising, network cheat, transaction security, the protection of personal information, the format clause as well as the right to claim damages. Thirdly, it illustrates the reasons why it is difficult to protect the consumer rights in the context of the e-commerce. It finds out that it attributes to the characteristics of the e-commerce and the outside environment. Finally, it focuses on how to build the system to protect the consumer rights in B2C e-commerce. In order to promote the healthy development of the e-commerce in our country, we should learn from the international successful experience, establish online credit system and establish a comprehensive regulatory regime.
