Social Capital Construction Of Migrant Workers And The Existing Problems

Group of migrant workers is a special group,they are in the margins of society status,but they are also the main force of urban construction.The fate of them relates to the national and social stability,so discuss the utilization of their social capital and the existing problems can help us to continue to pay attention to this group,and help this group.The author takes"HouyYu"community as an example, through case study method of interviews in the region of migrant workers at all levels of social capital utilization. And puts social capital into relational social capital, organizational social capital, and institutional social capital. At the same time again puts relationship social capital into the blood and geopolitical relations based on the primary industry, as well as to geopolitical and geo-such as friends of relying on the sub-established relations of social capital.The three types of social capital that migrant workers can use should be a gradual and ladder-like structure,from a micro to macro constant infiltration process.Social capital of relations is mainly to meet the needs of the individual level ,so that the migrant workers could receive information and emotional,life support from individuals.But social capital of organization and institution is to provide a comprehensive range of support ,to provide them with various resouces in a higher level.However, the reality is that there is a fracture when the migrant workers gradually expand the social capital. The social capital of primary relation still holds the leading position, the social capital of the secondary relation is still relatively narrow. The social capital that the migrant workers can mainly use is still the social capital of relation, but the social capital of organization and institution is still in vacancy. This calls for the reconstruction of social capital in the transition period,and we should make a combined effort to promote the migrant workers to adapt to the city better and integrate into urban society.
