The Stability Of Japan Liberal Democratic Party's Long Time Ruling

After World War II, Japan as a loser received democratized rebuild of the United States. One important matter of the democratized rebuild of the United States was revivified and strengthened the Japanese's democracy. So the result was the party's revival and many new parties' instauration.Although the style of democracy in Japan is multipartyism, Japan is very special in modem western democratic world. The Liberal Democratic Party (LDP) of Japan came into power from 1955 to 1993, LDP was at the top of Japanese polity as long as 38 years, and then 8 parties in parliament expect LDP took the power. After the political system of 1955 crashed, the LDP which came back to the center of the power took just 10 months, though it united other small parties. The cold war was past, Japan's political situation was in the chaos. But LDP still controls the political situation like the political system of 1955 in parliament up to the present. It means that in almost 50 years LDP was at the top all the time. Absolutely it's a miracle in such a multipartyism country.Through studies of many factors, the Japanese political system and criterion which is established by the long time rule of LDP is adapt to the realistic demand of the Japan society. The system of single party's long time ruling isn't a deviation to democracy in regime. The existence of out-party and election make this special democracy deeply in the people's heart. Japan's reality shows that LDP's long-time ruling doesn't induce the reverse of democracy, instead the concept of democracy become more and more deeply in the people's thought. With the idea of democracy spread to all over the country and the potency of out-party fast grew, these made a important effect in the fight of ending LDP's long-time ruling. In the lead of LDP, Japan had changed from a world war looser to a second strong country in economy. So LDP's long-time ruling facilitated all-sided development of Japan.The back ground of the phenomena is the result of political environment of Japan. It's also the question which will be researched by this article. The article includes five parts. The first part is guide. The second part is the definition and theory of stability in ruling. The third part is about the ruling practices of Liberal Democratic Party. When we research some political phenomenon, the actual ruling practices may be the important factors. The fifth part is about the prospects for a long time ruling of Liberal Democratic Party after the political system of 1955. The last is the conclusion.With the change of international environment continuously and the influence of Japan domestic micro- environment, the special democracy system provides vegetal earth to the democracy function of Japan style. LDP is the flower which grew in the political earth and different from other democracy countries. In conclusion political environment played a very important role in political civilization of a country.
