Mao Zedong and Deng Xiaoping's thought of incorruptible politics stems from Marx's thought of incorruptible politics, Lenin's thought of incorruptible politics and the practice of the thought, and the essence of thought of the people in Chinese traditional culture. Based on them, combined with Chinese reality, Mao Zedong and Deng Xiaoping's thought of incorruptible politics with Chinese characteristics and Chinese style is formed. Thereby, it provides a pattern of referential development in order that China builds up a incorruptible government and nation.The aim of this paper is in search of the differences and similarities of Mao Zedong and Deng Xiaoping's thought of incorruptible politics. In part 1, the paper defines the incorruptible politics and related concepts, from which we can understand the concrete contents and pave the way for the discussion of Mao Zedong and Deng Xiaoping's thought of incorruptible politics.In part 2, the similarities of Mao Zedong and Deng Xiaoping's thought of incorruptible politics is compared, specifically, the common in the aspect of the theoretical origin, the fundamental purpose and basic principles, which inherit and develop Marx's and Lenin's thought of incorruptible politics and the essence of thought on the basis of the people in Chinese traditional culture. Just from this angle, Serving the People Wholeheartedly becomes the common fundamental purpose; Theory with Practice, Close linking with the Mass and carrying out criticism and self-criticism become their common cardinal rule. If we stick to applying the purpose to concrete practice, we have to tie with the Mass, do everything for and depending on the Mass. As well, if we persist in the principle that we do everything from the Mass and to the Mass, carrying out criticism and self-criticism, and criticizing the thoughts and behaviors which break, stray away from the Mass and are out of the Mass' interest, we can link theory with practice, combine the thought of incorruptible politics with the Mass' practice.In part 3 and part 4, we compare the differences of Mao Zedong and Deng Xiaoping's thought of incorruptible politics, and analyze the cause of coming out the differences. This paper dwells on means of achieving the incorruptible politics, the relationship between the thought of incorruptible politics and economics, constructions of a clean and honest administration and economic construction, and the core of the incorruptible politics. Firstly, this paper discusses that Mao Zedong mainly took means by Mass movement of the Class struggle, however, Deng Xiaoping mainly took means by dependence on system and legality. It makes for formulating that Mao Zedong how to understand the relation between the incorruptible politics and economics as well as Deng Xiaoping. Based on this discussion above, the thesis analyzes and draws their differences from the major point and basic approach of thoughts of incorruptible politics. In order to differentiate them more convincingly, this paper analyzes the cause of the differences, mainly the differences of international and internal historical context. At the end of dissertation, the significance of comparison of Mao Zedong and Deng Xiaoping's thought of incorruptible politics is put up. Mainly, it can clearly let us make sense of their ideologies after comparing their thoughts, and provide for reference of state regime construction in the Chinese Socialist modernization in the new period. This is the intention of my thesis, but this is awaiting further research.
