The Comparison Of Sino-US Local Government Portal

Additionally, the local government portal is also an important way for the government to achieve the online services to the public and businesses, through an inter-departmental union it converges various kinds of the government process, which improves the government's efficiency highly. Whether making the administrative information known to the public or realizing the online services, it is all that the government takes advantage of the communication and the technology of the internet to provide sorts of public services, which is an important way to achieve the single control-oriented government turning into the control services-oriented government. But because we just study the content of the website, we do not interpret how the government local portal provides the online services and the specific process and we only analyze the information of Sino-US government portal and the type of the online services from the content level..In this article, on the base of describing the overview of Sino-US government portal's development, to Chinese Guangdong provincial government portal and American Massachusetts state government portal as an example, we use the case analysis, comparison study, data analysis, to compare kinds of government information released and types of the online services provided by the local government portal of the two country from the communication perspective, and apply political science, communications, public management-related theory to analyze the difference between the two deeply. We proposed in the information era, Chinese provincial government portal's improvement countermeasures in aspect of the information dissemination and the set of the online services.We divided five chapters:the first introduces the study background, the study significance, the study status; the second introduces the related conception of the local government portal and the overview of Sino-US local government portal; in the third chapter, we analyze the differences between Chinese Guangdong provincial government portal and American Massachusetts state government portal from the communication perspective; in the for the chapter, we interpret the reason of the difference; the last chapter, we give the conclusion and the suggestions.
