The Analysis Of The Diplomacy Strategy In "Keeping A Low Profile"

"Keeping a Low Profile" is a long-term diplomatic strategy which was put forward by Deng Xiaoping, based on the analysis of international and domestic situation in before and after 90 years of the 20th century. The implementation of this diplomatic strategy made China rapidly out of the plight of isolation of the international community after 1989. It not only won the general strategic space for China's diplomacy, but also promoted China's modernization. After 30 years of reform and opening up, China's comprehensive national strength significantly increased. Global financial crisis has brought many new changes on the pattern of the world, which has brought a lot opportunities and challenges to China's diplomacy. China needs to continue to adhere to "Keeping a Low Profile" diplomatic strategy, and grasps the opportunity to do something to create a new situation for China's diplomacy.Through the analysis of content, backgrounds and historic function of " Keeping a Low Profile" diplomatic strategy, the author tries to conduct in-depth analysis of it. This paper is on the main line of "Keeping a Low Profile" diplomatic strategy and has four parts. The first chapter proposes process, content and strategic basis of "Keeping a Low Profile" diplomatic strategy; the second chapter briefly discusses the historic function of the "Keeping a Low Profile" diplomatic strategy; the third chapter combines the international situation of the new era to analyze China's new diplomatic opportunities and challenges; the Chapter IV connects the transformation of China's new diplomacy to enrich new content of "Keeping a Low Profile" diplomatic strategy.
