Research On The Relationship Between Shanghai Cooperation Organization And America In Recent Decade

The strategic position of Central Asia has been improved greatly since the establishment of Shanghai Cooperation Organization in 2001. Terrorists prevention has become the centre of American global strategy since the breaking out of 9.11 attacks. The position of Central Asia is increased rapidly in American global strategy due to the important geological position.It's inevitable that something will happen between them due to both Shanghai cooperation organization and America all pay great strategic attention to Central Asia.During the recent decade, their relationship between Shanghai Cooperation Organization and America has experienced three phrases mutual recognition, emergency of conflicts and actual competition. Though their relationship nearly falls into the dilemma of war, their relationship shows a trend of stable development totally, and the two sides don't put more attention to ideological factors in dealing with their relationship and two sides'attitudes is becoming more and more rational and practical.In the future, their relationship will show the trend of actual development which will follow the diplomatic idea of Bush in his second term. However, their relationship will not have a smooth development due to some changing factors such as powers' competition, the change of regional order and so on.This article studies the causes and history of the relationship between Shanghai Cooperation Organization and America in recent decade from 2001, makes an analysis to the factors which influence their relationship greatly, and forecasts the future of the relationship between Shanghai Cooperation Organization and America.This article can be divided into three parts, firstly, it mainly introduces the causes and beginning of the relationship between Shanghai Cooperation Organization and America. Secondly, it mainly studies the history of their relationship in recent decade and makes an analysis to the influencing factors of their relationship. Thirdly, the author forecasts the future of the relationship between Shanghai Cooperation Organization and America and puts forward some proposals for the development of their relationship from the view of China. At last the author makes a conclusion and makes some thoughts toward the future development of their relationship.
