The thesis explores how the migrants to the City of Hefei adapt to the city. At present, about the research of migration, most scholars have mainly concerned about the receiving cities in the east place and contributed fruitfully. Meanwhile, the migration in the central and west places has been concerned less. With the implement of new policy of urban development, the migrants to the central places have increased so that it is significant to study about it. Through the study, the author argues that Hefei has attracted a large number of migrants due to its political, transportation, economical and environmental superiority. However, the problem of household registration system and dualistic economic structure has also been the same obstacle to migrants in Hefei as in other cities. This has affected the migrants'social inclusion, social security and children education in the city. The thesis has three chapters other than introduction and conclusion. The introduction is about significance, current situation, train of thought, methods and resources of the study. The conclusion is to summarize the academic point of view of the thesis.Chapter 2, according to D.J.Bogue's theory of pull and push, analyzes the pull aspects for migrants in Hefei, such as the population condition, the population policy, the political, economic and social environment as well.Chapter 3, applying the theory of conflict to analysis, the thesis explores the obstacle in the aspects of social inclusion, social security, social rights and children education.Chapter 4, based on the two chapters above, the author tries to provide some advice for the decision-maker to make more reasonable and humanistic policies so that the city could developed more harmoniously.
