The Study Of The Remained Elderly In Rural Areas In Anhui Province

Since the 80s of the 20th century, with urbanization and industrialization process being accelerated, a lot of rural laborers have flowed into cities. But because of dual economic and social structure and family economic status etc, it's very hard for the rural laborers to move their family to the city. So their parents and wives could only be at home and the aged remaining in rural areas have become a special group. Children's working outside and the distance being long necessarily result in the aged remaining in rural areas losing their children in everyday life. The aged remaining in rural areas are disadvantaged groups and they are faced with lot of problem. Solving the problems of them Relates to their health and blessedness and the aging problem of our country and the success of new rural construction and Harmonious Society. So we should focus on it.In this paper, we analyze the question of the aged remaining in rural areas From the point of the theory of needs of aged persons and filial culture. We analyze the reason of why the aged remain in rural areas and the problem of their own and the effect to the economic development of country. We also put forward some measures to the question. The author investigated the aged remaining in rural areas of Langxi country in Anhui Province with the research approach of questionnaire survey and case interviews on the basis of some valuable document and data analyzing. The author also inspected the living situation of them and analyzed the effect of children working outside to the aged's living and labor burden and grandparents'guarding children and the plot to the aged.Based on the documents and materials, integrating the theory and background, this paper analyze the aged's following question:economic supporting question, many aged remaining in rural areas just can feed themselves; no tending specifically no disease caring; no safety guaranteeing; being difficult to see a doctor; spiritual demand can't being satisfied; agricultural being Aging trend; heavy labor burden; Grandparents guardianship being springing up; children's guardianship quality can't being guaranteed; gambling being in flood, Traditional ethics and moral values desalting the aged's rights and benefits being infracted; suffering from the traditional view and the policy omission, hard to get support from others.In this paper,we mainly investigate the problem of the aged remaining in rural areas。in connection with the question above,we investigate how to solve the problem from the directions of individual, family and society. The aged should exert their activeness and develop some activity to help each other and actively take part in society activity. We should advocate new filial to build a society of respecting and caring for the aged. The retirement pension system and medical insurance system in village should be completed. The economy and urbanization should be developed. Jobs should be settled and farmers' income should be raised to solve the problem. We should build community organization of the aged to structure a social support networks for the aged remaining in rural areas.
