The Analysis Of Urban Empty Nest Family Community Care At Home

From 2009, China's aging has stepped into the stage rapid development, and the elderly population will increase by 8 million to 9 million an average year; By the year 2020, the elderly population will reach 248 million, achieving a growth of one million than the present. It is expected that China would enter the severe stage of aging in 2050, with the elderly population reaching 437 million accounting for 30% of the total population. Since the practice of family planning in the early 80s of the last century, the surge in the number of only child has increased the number of "empty nesters".From July to August in 2009, the author of this thesis has made a sample survey on two district offices located in the east and west of Boshan town, learnt about the home care situation of the elderly population in Boshan community, thus the author makes an in-depth analysis of the possible factors that influencing the empty nesters, and provides the basis for policy formulation of the aged empty nesters'home care in Boshan community, ultimately attain the purpose of promoting their health, improving the living quality of the elderly and building a harmonious society.This thesis includes six parts, the introduction, the relevant theoretical basis of empty-nest families, the status quo of elderly support in empty-nest families and the reasons of it, the pension experience of empty-nest families abroad and the inspiration, offering proposals for perfecting elderly support of empty-nest families in Chinese cities, and the last part, the conclusion.We should draw on the experience abroad selectively, improve and develop the pension form with Chinese characteristics, and explore a new model of family pension to meet the needs of empty-nest families better. In order to ensure that the community care model in solving the empty nest care of elderly households is play the biggest role, we should take positive measures on the aspects of elderly people themselves, their children and friends, the government and society, community construction and so on, and create conditions for the development of self-governing community model.
