Just before the end of the Korean War, December,1952, one of the most important leaders of Japanese Community Party named Ito Ritsu was imprisoned by Chinese Community Party in Beijing. Then he spend 27 years in Chinese prison. This incident was not well known for a long time and became a confused case.The incident of Ito Ritsu has a complex background. This article is based on the materials of Japanese Community Party and the memories of the parties which be gathered in Japan. By describing the process of Ito's imprisonment, the author intends to reveal the inner struggle about Japanese Community Party after the World War II. Furthering, clarify the affect which Soviet Community Party and Chinese Community Party bring to Japanese Community Party, by putting this incident into the Cold War background.Actually, the charges of traitor and spy which claimed by Japanese Community Party to Ito Ritsu is untrue. Ito is no responsible for the destruction of Sorge's spy group. The conflicts in policy and power of politics between Ito and Nosaka Sanzou become the root of Ito's imprisonment. And as Miyamoto Kanji grasps the power of Japanese Community Party, the imprisonment lasts in a long term and keeps unsettled. The changing situation of Cold War and the relationships among the communist bloc make a great influence on Japanese Community Party's politics and contend for leading power, determine the fate of Ito Ritsu.
