The Chinese Communist Party (CCP) is the largest ruling communist-partyamong the socialist countries in the world, while the Japanese Communist Party (JCP)is the largest communist-party as an opposition in developed capitalist countries.Based on the current precarious situation of bilateral relations between China andJapan, the paper begins with a brief introduction of JCP and its history and clarifiesthe significance of the research on the relations between CCP and JCP. Then bycombining with the self-definition of CCP, the paper notes that the research fits bothwith the theme "International Movement of Communism" and the theme "PartyDiplomacy", and that it is also helpful for the theoretical research on the "PartyDiplomacy with Chinese Characteristics".In this paper, the history of relationship between the two parties is divided intofive historical periods. The period from1921to1945is the period of mutualassistance during the revolution-and-war years. From1945to1965relationsbetween the two parties reached a peak known as the friendly period. Since1966,relations between the two parties began to break and reached a complete break in1967, which lasted until1996. Since1997, both sides started releasing the signal tobury the hatchet. And after1998, with the final normalization of relations betweenthe two parties, both sides have remained stable contacts until now, which is called theperiod of restoration and normal communication. After that, the paper reviews the consistent theme and content that the two partiesconcerned during the90years of contacts. Finally, the paper sums up severallessons learned from the CPC and JCP interaction process, and makes a simpleprediction about the future relations between the two parties. |
