With rapid development of information technology, human society has already entered a new era - internet age. As the emerging media after newspaper, radio, television and other traditional mass media, internet has been widely used and it is influencing people's lifestyle, ethics and value systems. Teenagers, as a special group with most open mind to new things, are undoubtedly the ones who are being influenced by internet the most deeply and widely. Internet is like a double-edged sword. It creates new ways of study and amusement for teenagers, but at the same time, unhealthy culture and harmful information spread via internet too, which will inevitably bring negative effect on teenagers' cognitive style, personality, moral and mental development. Teenagers'civic education must adapt to the requirement of internet age, with innovations on content, methods, environment and team construction, and thus it will lead teenagers to use internet wisely and grow up healthily, achieving unity of actuality and virtuality, and making them qualified citizens with modern civil consciousness and healthy personality. This paper uses documentation method, comparison method and some other researching methods to make a deep analysis with the influence on teenagers'civic education by internet and brings forward advice and solutions.This paper, based on internet age, combines theories and research methods of disciplines such as politics, education, psychology, sociology and so on, and it gives a deep analysis on the civic education problem in the internet age for teenagers. It is made up of three parts: introduction, main body and conclusion. The first par brings forward research questions and summarizes the significance for picking this topic, current research situation around the world, and innovations of research methodology. Main body, as the second part, is composed of three chapters. The first starts from the concepts of citizen and civic education, and then points out characteristics and significance of teenagers'civic education. The second chapter analyses connotation, development and main features of internet, online behaviors of teenagers in our country, and then elaborates the influence on teenagers'civic education by internet, indicating that internet brings both positive effect and challenges to teenagers' civic education. The third chapter suggests solutions for teenagers' civic education in internet age against the influence: innovations with civic education content, improvement on educational methods, enhancement of management, construction of healthy and harmonious internet environment, and high-quality civic education workforces. Conclusion, as the last part, gives a conclusion for the research.
