The view "Ideological and political education is a kind of productivity "has already aroused the concern of academics. In the author's view, according to a small number of the relevant study papers, there is not a systematic study about this issue and no complete theoretical explanation or demonstration but the simple study on "Why the Ideological and political education is productivity?" from their own perspective.Based on the relevant standpoint, making Marxism as the guiding ideology in the writing, the author has arranged and studied the relevant documents on "the ideological and political education" and "the mental productivity", and then tried to expound and prove the view of "Ideological and political education is a kind of mental productivity" in a more systematic way.The paper firstly has introduced the background, literature summary, content, innovations and meanings of the research of the view of "Ideological and political education is a kind of mental productivity". Through the arrangement and comparison of the literature, this part has summarized the current research of this topic, and then has expounded the feasibility, specific ideas and significance of the systematic research of this topic.Next it focuses on the proving process of the view of the article. This part starts from the knowledge of main theories. Firstly, it has expounded the concept of the ideological and political education and the mental productivity to clarify the meaning of ideological and political education, the spiritual elements and the value of the mental productivity. Secondly, it has briefly expounded the relationship between the mental producing and the material producing to distinguish them. Finally, according to expounding the relationship between the mental productivity and the ideological and political education, it finished the reasoning in the theory of the views of the article. That is, by bringing in the concept of ideology and the mental producing, it has compared with the mental productivity and the ideological and political education, and at the same time, has described the mental producing process of the ideological and political education, and eventually come to the conclusion of the article "Ideological and political education is a kind of mental productivity".And then it describes the functions of the ideological and political education which promote to develop the mental producing. Starting from the functions of the ideological and political education, it has respectively expounded four aspects:the promotion of the human's comprehensive development, the promotion of human's understanding of nature and society, the improvement of the conversion efficiency of material and mental wealth, and helping to build the mainstream ideology, which demonstrate the important value of the ideological and political education in the mental producing process, in further, to support the reasonableness of the view of the article.And then it has discussed the development routines of mental productivity from three elements of mental productivity, that is, the mental producer, the mental producing object and the mental producing environment. It has put forward the corresponding choice of development path according to the nature of the ideological and political education as a kind of activity.At last, it is the conclusion of the article, which has summarized, generalized, and reiterated the author's point of view-the Ideological and Political Education is a kind of mental productivity.
