In the late 1990s, the increasing numbers of street children in China has become a large-scale social problem of outstanding proportions. Research on street children focuses on the explanation for salvage, protection, and the countermeasures for educational rights. This article describes how the government can help, and how society can have a comprehensive understanding about problems of street children. One prime example of this is the Xi'an street children relief protection center. This paper strives to explain the significance of street children personality education, principles, objectives and educational content, way and method. This paper can also be a theoretical reference for the government to protect the relief work. On one hand, through observation of the street children's living conditions and causes, we can provide theoretical references for the relief protection center of the rescue work which can help to improve the degree of specialization. On the other hand, we can help society to understand street children more, and avoid producing prejudice and discrimination about street children.This research mainly adopts documented research, statistics, interviews, field observation, and practice. The main innovations of this paper are:(1) the basic situation of street children, such as their living conditions, age, gender, origin, survival and outside factors, and also the children's health and living plight. (2) a study of the causes of the children's wandering which analyzes social value factors. (3) the countermeasures to develop street children personality education based on ideological and political education. The professional knowledge, such as psychology, personality, pedagogy is used in the paper too. This paper discusses the significance of street children personality education, the principle, the goal, contents, methods and approaches.The paper has been divided into five parts:The first part is street children personality education of China and the significance of current research. The second part is the basic conditions of street children. The third part is the problem of Chinese street children personality education. The fourth part is the stray solutions of Chinese street children personality education. The fifth part is the mode of street children's personality education.
