Environmental Right To Know

Since the mid-20th century, worldwide environmental problems have become more prominent. Environmental consciousness of citizens is increasingly growing and the voices for the realization of the right to know the environment are getting higher and higher. The right to know the environment is legally entitled for the public to acquire and knows the environment and it is a public implementation of other rights. It is necessary requirement for the government of responsibility and rule of law to protect the public to know the environment. Protection of the public right to know the environment in important initiatives of protecting the public's environmental rights and interests, and promote the democratic process. In recent years, environmental problems have become increasingly prominent, with the development of China's economy. Research on the right to know the environment no longer stays in theory and more and more people began to call law to state clearly the Right to Environment to protect the public's legitimate environmental interests.In accordance with the questions, analyzing problems and solving problems, this paper researches on the right to know the environment of China.Improving environmental right to know as an entry point, this paper finds out the right to know our environment in legislation, law enforcement and supervision problems, combined with legal rule of the right to know environment. This article also describes environmental law the right to know of the EC, the United States, Canada, Japan and other nations.The article proposes the enlightenment of the environment for the right to know from the legislation, enforcement and supervision, by drawing on foreign experience and the status of our country. The innovation of this paper is the in-depth study of the problems of the right to know the environment on legislation, law enforcement and supervision, on the base of which the right to know the environment is improved by specialized laws, specialized laws and the legal relief. In order to improve the right to know the environment, correct enforcement of environmental is established, administrative philosophy means are changed and environmental administrative means of the public and environmental non-governmental organizations are played.
