Study On Reform Of The Household Registration System In Our Country

Freedom of movement as a fundamental human right recognized and writes into the Constitution by the most of countries in order to protect and enforce it. The Chinese Constitution of 1954 has provisions on freedom of movement, which is restricted by the Household Registration Regulation and other household registration system later. Next multiple laws and regulations also restricted freedom of movement as well.The Constitution of 1975,the Constitution of 1978,the existing Constitution of 1982 did not confirm the provisions of freedom of movement, which makes the movement freedom of basic human rights hard to protect and difficult to achieve fundamental.Chinese restrictions on freedom of movement cause by mostly by Chinese household registration system.Household registration system in other country is mainly for population statistics, however in China it has been added sorts of other registration for human migration.These restrictions make outsiders and rural people difficult to achieve the rights in the city, especially migrant workers'rights and interests are a great harm. Artificial restriction of human resources on a large scale hinders the implementation of urban-oriented and economy's rapid growth. And it is harm for us to achieve our goal of common prosperity and the establishment of harmonious societyRealization of the freedom of movement can promote greatly our socialist construction, push further to achieve democratization of politics, contributes to rapid growth of China's socialist market economy and also conductive to improvement of China's education system and social welfare system.Finally, according to the preceding analysis, I suggest that we should realize our freedom of movement from short-term goals and long-term plan and then realize the improvement and development on political, economy, education, welfare etc., so as to promote the development of our socialist harmonious society.
