The Establishment Of Counselors Training System In G University Based On Competency

Counselors are the management organizers, coordinators and leaders in university student work at the most basic level. Both the growing up, cultivation and the leapfrog development are inseparable with the counselors'job. The level of counselor's competency will directly influence their performance, and also affects quality of university talent cultivation, even impact on the after graduation development of parts of the students. Therefore to reinforce the training on them is the major measures on increasing the counselors'competency. Thus it is of great importance to probe the system establishment of the training system that may satisfy the practical need.The dissertation, taking such background in G university as studying subject, by analyzing the present situation of counselors faculty, their present ability, the difference to competency and the present training condition, holds the establishment of counselor's training system based on competency is the effective way to solve the problems. The dissertation, by referring to the university counselor's competency model, taking six competent characteristics as standards, namely professional attitudes, know-how, communicating coordinating ability, problem solving ability, self-adjustment and extroversion, establishes every links in the detailed operation in the training system in compliances with its counselor faculty condition,which include training demand analyses, plan designing, implementing process, evaluation designing and also supporting measures. The training system is designed on the basis of competency which makes the training more target-oriented so, that G University may carry out training needs. Target-orientation and practicalness are the most catching factors in the establishment of counselors' training system in G university.The researching significance of this dissertation lies in the facts it provide new ideology and practical process support for counselors'training in G university, as well as reference value to other universities in their establishment and research of counselors'training system.
