"The real education is self-education". College students'self-education is of great significance to their overall development and adaptation to the modern open society. At present, the main problems in college students'self-education are its insufficiently received attention and unsatisfactory effect, etc. University students is a special group, who in their age already have the basic conditions for self-education but still need the school's indirect guidance. Meanwhile, college students are in Psychological Inversion, which challenges their self-education. Universities should,under the premise of respect for students, actively make research on the effective ways to develop self-education. Undergraduate students' hidden curriculum of self-education meets the university's need. The current research on college students'self-education, which is not deep or overall enough, has not formed a theory system. Therefore, for the need of this research, this paper carries on a deep and overall study on undergraduate students' hidden curriculum of self-education to improve the effectiveness of undergraduates'self-education with the guidance of theory on practice.This paper, through theoretical analysis and empirical research, makes research on undergraduate students' hidden curriculum of self-education, which is taken as the condition of the operation of external mechanism for university students'self-education. This is the entry point of this paper, and the foothold is to improve the effectiveness of college students'self-education. Firstly, the notion of undergraduate students' hidden curriculum of self-education is put forward, and the analysis of the theoretical basis of its existence is made. Then through empirical study, further research is made on the important role that undergraduate students' hidden curriculum of self-education plays in their self-education and its current situation. On this basis, the exploitation study on undergraduate students' hidden curriculum of self-education is made in this paper, which mainly covers the principle, approaches and details of the exploitation. And the assumed model of evaluation system on university students'self-education is tried to be established to provide encouragement and constraint system for the establishment and reform of undergraduates' hidden curriculum of self-education.The research in this paper, on the one hand, hopes to arouse people's attention on university students'self-education and its hidden curriculum, and to open up a new way to improve the effect of undergraduate students' self-education as well as to exert the function of their self-education to promote their overall development. Meanwhile, this paper is also to enrich the theory system of undergraduate students' self-education. On the other hand, this paper expands the application of hidden curriculum in practice. The research on undergraduate students' hidden curriculum of self-education is to make up the blank of hidden curriculum in this respect, and to enrich the connotation and denotation of hidden curriculum.
